Early Start is much more than a children’s museum – we are a leader in early childhood education, research, leadership and support.
Supported by the University of Wollongong, Early Start Discovery Space is a not-for-profit that aims to breakdown the barriers between early childhood research and the community. We run regular outreach events, Speaker Series talks, workshops and playgroups to empower parents and carers with the most up-to-date knowledge, straight from the brightest minds in childhood research.
Have a look through our blog page for articles and free resources and be sure to get in touch if there is an area on childhood development you would like to know more about.
For the community
The families that come onto the University campus – many for the first time – are an invaluable part of our commitment to engage with the community and provide valuable resources for families of all backgrounds.
We also have partnerships with 40+ early childhood education and care centres to provide leadership, support and professional development to areas in regional, rural and remote areas.
