JULY SCHOOL HOLIDAYS

We are keeping our curious minds active with daily activities and shows for a fun-packed July School Holiday program. All activities and shows are FREE after entry.

Come and explore our STEAM program, participate in our Discovery Show and pick up your pencil for Doodle & Draw. Join us in creARTivity as we celebrate NAIDOC week, taking inspiration from Bidjigal artist and elder Esme Timbery to create sculptures from clay, seashells and other natural materials you can find in your garden.

DAILY ACTIVITIES

Art – Seashell and Garden Material Sculptures

Join us for a hands-on play based art experience designed to inspire the mind and excite the senses. These holidays we’ll be taking inspiration from Bidjigal artist and elder Esme Timbery to create sculptures from clay, seashells and other natural materials you can find in your garden.

STEAM

Drop-in for a fun educational experience based on the wonders of Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Maths in the Discovery Space STEAM Room. These holidays we’ll be making and exploring a range of different flying machines and coding robots to navigate their way through mazes.

Doodle & Draw

You’re invited to explore a range of drawing techniques in our new program Doodle & Draw.  These holidays we will be animating colourful “blobs” into something new using the technique of Hirameki, as well as exploring the spotty works of Japanese artist Yayoi Kusama to inspire our own spotty creations.
