Event Details

It’s been 8 years since we first opened our doors and welcomed you inside to experience the power of PLAY!

Come and join us for a full-filled day planned specially to coincide with International Day of Families, Monday 15 May (9am – 1pm) as we celebrate our 8th birthday with special activities, shows and workshops, all FREE after entry!

WHAT’S ON!

  • CreARTivity | 9:30am – 10:45am and 12;00pm to 1:00pm  | Can you design your own birthday badge that captures why you love the Discovery Space? Join our Educators in creARTivity to plan, create and make your own badge (don’t forget to take it home!)
  • What’s in the (birthday!) box? Join our Educators in the The Pod for open-ended play using HUNDREDS of cardboard boxes, inspired by the book ‘What to do with a Box’ by Jane Yolen. Is it a library, a palace, a robot or locked with a magical key? Childrens’ agency is at the forefront in this program where they control their physical play environment.
