Early Start and the School of Education are marking Global Climate Change week with the “Climate Change for Children Book Club” in story time, podcasts and through ‘The Pod’ Experience in the Discovery Space!
11:00am: Join the Discovery Space team every day at to share quality children’s literature exploring climate change concepts and celebrating Country and Place*.
On Wednesday 18th October, we also welcome a special guest reader, Distinguished Professor, Sharon Robinson, an Antarctica researcher who will deliver story time for children and their adults, reading ‘Iceberg’ by Claire Saxby.
Make sure you also visit ‘The Pod’, during the week to interact with carefully curated video content designed to encourage conversations between children and their adults about caring for place, and respond through loose parts play.
And look out for our Climate Change for Children Book Club podcasts with expert researchers, educators, parents and children in conversation about books, reading, climate change and environmental sustainability released this week on our socials!
*Please note that participation in story time is free after general admission is paid to the Early Start Discovery Space. Bookings are not required for story time and participation will be subject to availability and capacity limits.
